What was the highlight of Amando Inn
Once the Inn was found, a wonderful room and cheerful welcome made for an excellent evernight.
I was not feeling well, so was disappointed not to be able to explore downtown Taipei on my overnight stay, but the comfort of the room made a lot of difference, and the cheerful welcoming young woman at the desk also did.
The directions walking from the Main Station for an English speaker were impossible. Missing were which exit to take from the station, more landmarks, as roadsigns were not easily found. I was fortunate to be adopted by a very kind resident family, who, themselves, had to use Google to get me to the Amando. As an English speaker not feeling well, I was slightly overwhelmed by the room's technology labeled in Chinese. I was finally able to turn on the hot water and figure out the lights!

Relaxing and nice. We will book here again
Although the first impression was not the best (the hotell is in the 6th floor of a building and the enctrance is a bit off-putting), as soon as we were in the lobby we felt very welcome and relaxed. Super friendly staff with good english (especially for taiwan standard). The room was super nice and clean. A cute and quaint hotel. Very good location: 5 min from Taipei main station, lots of sightseeing and restaurants within walking distance. breakfast at the breakfast bars (included) was okay and tasty.
You couldn't flush toilet paper and the bin had no lid, and the instructions were only in chinese. The "bum shower" was quite efficient. The normal shower had a bit low water pressure. Breakfast could only be had at breakfast bars outside the hotel, and it was a bit tight

Great choice for Taipei visit
Staff was great. Room very clean and comfortable with a nice decor. Location was very convenient to shopping, restaurants and the metro .. 10 minute walk to the main station.
